Both the Crown Point girls and boys basketball teams traveled to Michigan City High School Friday night, home of the Wolves and site of many Sectional and Regional Basketball tournaments due its large seating capacity of 7, 172. (All photos by Dave Woodworth)
The Crown Point Lady Bulldogs' starting lineup is about to be announced prior to their game at Michigan City Friday, 01-10-2020.
Crown Point junior guard Alyna Santiago (wearing white hat and holding crutches) watched the game from a wheelchair  from the south corner of the MCHS gym. Santiago had successful surgery for an ACL injury suffered Dec. 7 at Fremd, Illinois.
The Crown Point Lady Bulldogs built up a 47-25 halftime lead en route to their final 77-48 victory over the host Lady Wolves Jan. 10 at Michigan City High School.
The plaque outside the Michigan City High School gym indicates there's plenty of seating capacity for sporting events. There were about 500 in attendance towards the end of the CP-MC girls basketball game and maybe a few hundred more for the boys game that followed at 7:30 p.m. on 01-10-2020. A cold windy rain undoubtedly kept a few folks away.
