CROWN POINT (4-19-2016) Two straight days, different opponent, same result; back-to-back DAC wins for the Crown Point Bulldogs on their own diamond. Having defeated Lake Central the previous day, the Valparaiso Vikings came for a visit, as a three-run first inning set the tone.

The Bulldogs would go on to win 6-0, their fifth shutout of the year.

The top three hitters managed to come around and score in the bottom of the first as the Bulldogs eventually tacked on solo runs in the second, fourth and sixth innings.

The top two hitters in the lineup, seniors Miranda Elish and Organ Matalin, each went 3 for 4 and the two combined for three runs scored.

On the mound, Elish went the distance, not giving-up a hit, as the Bulldogs only allowed two Valparaiso base-runners, reaching on a walk and an error.
