CROWN POINT (4-26-2017) A three-run third inning became all that Crown Point Bulldogs starting pitcher Alexis Holloway needed to deliver a complete game, as they defeated the Chesterton Trojans 3-0.

The win marks the second time the Bulldogs knocked-off the Trojans in the regular season, as Crown Point picked-up a 5-1 road victory on April 13.

After giving-up two base runners over the first two innings, Holloway retired 12 consecutive Trojans. In all, Chesterton had only three base runners for the entire game.

Holloway had three hits, including a fourth-inning single. She would come around to score on sophomore Maggie Ballentine’s double. Ballentine then tallied on senior Lexie Madrigal’s two-run single to help cap-off the Bulldogs' continuous string of undefeated softball.

Crown Point improves to 13-0 on the season and 9-0 in the Duneland Athletic Conference, while Chesterton falls to 11-6 overall and 5-4 in the DAC.
