CROWN POINT (5-04-2016) Crown Point Bulldogs starting pitcher Alexis Holloway settled down after giving-up a game-opening lead-off single to Jordan Lane of the Michigan City Wolves. The junior would then retire the next 15 batters she faced and got plenty of scoring support along the way.

A seven-run second helped the Bulldogs pick-up an abbreviated five-inning win, defeating the Wolves 10-0. A second inning in which Crown Point would send 13 hitters to the plate. Seven of the starting nine in the batting order had at least one run scored, while all but one managed to get on base at some point in the game.

After the Bulldogs managed a run in their half of the fourth, Holloway shut down the Wolves in order to enforce the “mercy rule.”

The Lady Bulldogs remain undefeated with a 14-0 record overall, 11-0 in the DAC. Michigan City falls to 4-17 overall and 0-11 in the DAC.
